About the Program

A new seminar‑series initiative has been launched to strengthen collaboration among the three life‑domain centers at RIKEN: the Center for Brain Science (CBS) in Wako, the Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR) in Kobe, and the Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS) in Yokohama. This program is designed to promote deeper scientific exchange by inviting principal investigators from each center to visit and present their research at the host site.

The seminars are open to all members of the life‑domain community and are offered in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in person and online. Video archives are also made available to ensure broader access. This year, four seminars was scheduled, as listed in the accompanying table, each featuring a distinguished researcher from one of the partner centers.

In addition to the seminar presentations, the host center organizes laboratory tours and one‑on‑one discussions to facilitate more direct scientific interaction. These opportunities allow visiting researchers to explore ongoing projects, exchange ideas, and identify potential areas of synergy.

Through this seminar series, the three life‑domain centers aim to build a stronger, more interconnected research community. The initiative is expected to spark new collaborations and accelerate interdisciplinary research across RIKEN’s life‑science network.
