Proteomics Unit

The proteomics core facility functions in IMS have been provided by the Integrated Genomics Laboratory. In April 2025, the Advanced Multi-Omics Technology Division was newly established, and the Proteomics Unit was launched in the division. We plan to transfer proteomics core facility function to the Proteomics Unit. During the period covered by this report, the Integrated Genomics Laboratory was responsible. The proteomics core facility maintains and manages two LC/MS/MS instruments (one Q Exactive Plus Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap and one Orbitrap Exploris 480) and two Luminex Assay instruments, processing samples from various IMS laboratories. Between January and December 2025, the mass spectrometers analyzed 4,065 samples, while the Luminex Assay system processed 123 samples (Table 1). A new mass spectrometer (Orbitrap Astral) was added in November 2025. The Proteomics Unit is scheduled to commence full operations starting April 2026.
